They call for a blood collection in Neuquén capital

It will be next Tuesday, at the El Camino Evangelical Baptist Church. Those interested in donating blood must make an appointment beforehand.

The General Directorate of Religion and Worship of the Ministry of Children, Adolescents, Youth and Citizenship, together with the Regional Hemotherapy Center (CRH) of the Ministry of Health, organizes a new blood collection.

On this occasion, it will take place on September 27 at the El Camino Evangelical Baptist Church, 861 José Fava Street in the city of Neuquén, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It should be remembered that to approach the blood collection next Tuesday it is necessary take a previous turn. The initiative is carried out by the Ministry of Health together with the General Directorate of Religion and Worship of the Undersecretary of Healthy Cities and Prevention of Problematic Consumption with the aim of facilitating blood donation in the provincial territory and promoting access to health of the entire community.

This is the third collection organized by both institutions, since in recent months two other collections were made in the towns of Chos Malal and Loncopué.

It is important to remember that blood and its derivatives cannot be manufactured artificially and are essential resources for surgeries, operations, cancer treatments and other health interventions. For that reason, it’s important for people to pledge and donate blood often, at least twice a year.

Requirements to donate blood

Donors must be between the ages of 16 and 65 (between 16 and 18 with parent/guardian permission), weigh more than 50 kilograms, and be in good health. On the day of the donation it is preferable not to fast but to have breakfast normally. It is also recommended to drink 1/2 liter of water before extraction. They must present the DNI.


Blood donation is a safe process that is carried out with all the necessary biosafety standards to provide quality care.
