They capture a fugitive linked to dozens of murders in Puerto Rico

San Juan, June 29 (EFE) .- The Police captured this Wednesday one of the most wanted fugitives in all of Puerto Rico, who is linked to dozens of murders, including a massacre perpetrated in the metropolitan area.

The fugitive, identified as Ramón Moisés Laureano Vélez, 40, was arrested in San Juan by agents of the Intelligence and Arrests Division of the Puerto Rico Police.

The arrest took place in the San Francisco de Río Piedras shopping center, where Laureano Vélez was making some purchases at the supermarket in the company of his partner, according to the Police statement.

Against the man also weighed a federal arrest warrant for violation of a federal probation related to the Weapons Law.

The police note did not specify the murders with which the detainee is linked, nor did it offer details about the aforementioned massacre committed in the metropolitan area.

Agents from the Bureau of Intelligence and Arrests of San Juan were in charge of the investigation that culminated in the arrest today of Laureano Vélez. EFE
