The Benito Juárez City Council, through the Civil Registry Office, joins the national campaign “I am Mexico”, which seeks to facilitate the process of Birth Registration for girls, boys and adolescents of a Mexican mother or father born in the United States. .
Said campaign is headed by the Ministry of the Interior, and makes an institutional link with some states of the border country to obtain from the national territory and free of charge, the Apostille of The Hague, an essential requirement to request the procedure.
According to data from the agency, so far in 2021 28 birth registrations have been issued for those born abroad.

It should be noted that the birth registration process for children of Mexicans born in other countries is in force throughout the year, however with the national campaign, the federal government absorbs the right expenses for the issuance of the document, exclusively for certain states from the United States.
