This futuristic 100% electric pick-up will use the sun as a source of energy

The EdisonFuture EF1-T to be an all-electric pickup hints at the future of electric trucks.

The electrification of the industry is imminent. As well-known brands transition to hybrid or fully electric models, there is room for new companies who bet on this growing segment. In this context comes the EdisonFuture EF1-T.

This is one pick-up 100% eléctrica that comes as a result of the joint work of three companies. First of all, the American startup EdinsonFuture which is a subsidiary of the American energy company SPI Energy specialized in the production of solar panels.

And finally Phoenix Motorcars, another subsidiary of SPI Energy, specializing in Ford E-Series electric conversions. Regarding your futuristic design, the person in charge is the Italian company Icona Design Group which presents us with a visually quite aesthetic truck.

On-board energy

The EdisonFuture EF1-T is presented to us as a pick-up with two-row cabin with capacity for six passengers, half hood profile with four doors and an open box at the back. Likewise, the truck reuses the rear doors as access to the cargo area and is completely covered to the end of the vehicle.

Its design is perfectly thought for the integration of solar panels located on the “AB” pillar that will be your main power source during daylight hours reducing the load per outlet. Visually it also has big LED lights and cameras instead of rear view mirrors.

In addition to this, it offers retractable side steps electrical Regarding its dimensions, it is rumored that it could be similar in size to the Tesla Cybertruck. Already inside, it offers a great 17.5 inch screen combined with a cluster of digital gauges, a front display screen, and toolboxes built into the doors.

The EdisonFuture EF1-T is known to be offered in three variants. The version “Standard” will have single electric motor capable of reaching 96 km / h in 6.5 seconds with a power of 470 Hp. The option “Premium” will arrive with two engines of the engines and will reach 96 km / h in 4.5 seconds.

Finally the version “Super” will be offered with a configuration of three engines and will reach 96 km / h in around 3.9 seconds with a power of 816 Hp. Likewise, the company is working on a truck similar to this model that will be called EF1-V.
