President of the United States (US) Donald Trump seems to have thousands of reasons to refuse to wear masks. So far, Trump has never been seen wearing a mask in public during the Corona outbreak.
Trump called himself “no problem” about wearing a mask. He also reiterated his belief that the transmission of this virus would “disappear”.
“If I were in a situation with people meeting, I would definitely do that (wearing a mask),” Trump said in an interview with Fox Business, as many US states recorded a sharp surge in the number of new cases of Corona infection.
But as reported by the news agency AFPOn Thursday (2/7/2020), Trump added: “Usually I am not in that position.”
Trump stressed that most of the people he saw at the White House had been tested for COVID-19 before making contact with him. This is the reason Trump is unwilling to wear a mask.
“I have no problem with masks – I think masks are good,” Trump said, adding his doubts about whether face masks need to be nationally required to control the spread of this deadly virus.
“You have many places in this country where people live very far from each other,” he said.
