Only a quarter of the Kontrast readers make ends meet despite the high inflation. Three quarters of those surveyed have to make savings, postpone non-urgent purchases or save on vacation. 4,329 readers took part in the vote.
On the question “How much does the current inflation affect you?” three quarters of the Kontrast readers had to state that they had to save in order to continue to make ends meet financially. 58% pay more attention to prices when shopping, 47% put off non-urgent purchases and 39% can afford no or less vacation time.
11% have even canceled home savings, life insurance or similar in order to be able to stay afloat financially, 7 percent say they have borrowed money from acquaintances or relatives, 5% have taken out a loan.
