The TikTok application is caught violating the user’s privacy. This stems from an investigation conducted by Apple researchers, Talal Haj Bakry and Tommy Mysk. Both found that TikTok is one of the many applications that are able to access the clipboard on the user’s gadget.
As a result, Apple is also trying to deal with this problem, especially on iOS 14. They will launch a new OS where gadget users will get a warning when an application is found “spying”.
Reporting from Forbes, Bytedance as the owner of TikTok blames the Google advertising SDK which is outdated. According to them, the old version of the Google Advertising SDK made the TikTok application accidentally access user gadgets.
