Based on the official Kopasgat information broadcast, Tuesday 17 January 2023, Major Pas Efendi Hermawan, who is now a Lieutenant Colonel, became Yonko 468/Sarotama Commander to replace Lieutenant Colonel Pas Hari Wijayanto.

The handover of positions was carried out under the leadership of Commander Wing Command II Kopasgat, Colonel Pas Yosafat Soelya in Yonko 468/Sarotama Headquarters field, Biak Numfor Regency, Papua.
According to Colonel Pas Yosafat Soelya, the handover of positions is a natural thing to do in order to ensure continuity and maintain leadership continuity, refresh the organization and create a dynamic work atmosphere.
Just to remind you again, Lt. Col. Pas Efendi Hermawan led the Operations Task Force for the Evacuation of Indonesian Citizens from Ukraine after gaining the trust of the Commander of the Bravo Unit 90 Kopasgat, Colonel Pas Dedy Agung. At that time he was still the Commander of Detachment 902/Special Action.
At that time, in March 2022, Colonel Pas Dedy received an order from the TNI Commander, General Andika Perkasa to immediately evacuate 83 Indonesian citizens from Ukraine, considering that the situation in that country was very dangerous because Russia had deployed troops to carry out a special operation to that country. Major Pas Efendi Hermawan successfully completed the evacuation mission in just 42 hours, and all Indonesian citizens were safely evacuated to the homeland.
Now, Major Pas Efendi Hermawan has been trusted to become the Commander of the 468/Sarotama Command Battalion in Papua, Kopasgat TNI AU.
