The Judicial Administrative Department auctioned 430 motorcycles that were stored in the yard of Defurv (Specialized Police Station for the Repression of Vehicle Theft and Theft), in Campo Grande. The motorcycles were no longer entitled to documentation and were purchased for recycling, as the parts were unable to be reused.
The auction emptied the courtyard of the police station, especially preventing the proliferation of mosquitoes such as aedes aegypti. Since 2018, more than 1,500 vehicles that were in the specialist’s yard have been sold.
The bidding company was responsible for the decontamination (removal of tires, contaminating fluids, fuel, oil filter and battery of the vehicles object of the auction) and the total pressing/decharacterization of the goods, so as not to allow the reuse of any of its components, health, environmental and safety standards are observed.
It is also responsible for the treatment and complete recycling of materials through steel recycling. After preparation/decontamination, the material is pressed and transported by the buyer for crushing and subsequent recycling.
The use of any component for any purpose other than sending it to recycling is prohibited, otherwise the bidder will be criminally indicted for the fact.
