Tampico, Tamaulipas.- In order to channel it to families who can use it for their treatments, the Cabildo of Tampico is asking the general population to donate drugs that are no longer useful, since the needs of the community are constantly growing in terms of health, said the councilor Juana Laura Rivera Salas.
He added that at this time they are managing various treatments for patients who come to the City Council, who are operated on or are going to be scheduled for a more delicate surgical intervention, especially those who do not have social security, since they are sent to the General Hospital of Tampico “Carlos Canseco”.
He insisted that the help of the community to donate the unexpired medicine will serve for those patients who request the drugs once they are operated on for any discomfort, so these medicines are provided free of charge through the Cabildo or the DIF System, for your speedy recovery.
He also stated that the applicants for any medical service belong to various health institutions, not only from the General Hospital of Tampico “Carlos Canseco”, that is why it is also sought to bring them closer to the medications that they will need once they are submitted. to a surgical intervention, either in the Mexican Institute of Social Security or in the Institute of Security and Social Services of State Workers (ISSSTE).
“We have been making arrangements in terms of appointments, in terms of surgical interventions, above all they are part of the procedures that I carry out with those responsible for the hospitals, and a greater number of people who require medications, I have a ‘stock’ of medications that have been provided to me through requests that I have made with friendly citizens“, he specified.
“I tell some that they have a treatment and that they have unused medicines, we promote this, that they donate these medicines, of course we check that they are not expired, so when they request them here we have them in stock, if they do not have they are channeled to the DIF system to be served; that’s why we say that you can approach me for a drug donation, and that they will be delivered to patients“, full.
