McKinsey has published a report entitled “The State of Artificial Intelligence in the Gulf Countries.” The report includes a survey of 119 senior executives and board directors and 21 interviews with experts in five key sectors across the six countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council. In a statement posted online, a group of business leaders and experts warned that the rise of artificial intelligence risks the “extinction” of humanity. Microsoft has begun publishing The Artificial Intelligence Anthology, a collection of 20 articles that explore the diverse ways in which artificial intelligence can be harnessed to benefit humanity.
