Tomasz Wołek was the editor-in-chief of Życie Warszawy for many years. He also published, inter alia, in “Rzeczpospolita”, “Gazeta Wyborcza” and “Polityka”. In 1980 he joined Solidarity. He wrote, inter alia, in “Bratniak”, “Głos”, “Więzi”. After the declaration of martial law, he helped the families of the internees and collaborated with underground magazines.

In 2005, he became the editorial director of the Tele 5 station. He was also the host of the “Pluses positive, negative plus” news program there.
