Tony Hoffman Community Talks | Thomas S. Wootton HS

Tony Hoffman is a former pro BMX racer, 2016 Rio Olympic Games coach & person in long term recovery. MCPS students say hearing what Tony shares is “life changing”. This week, Montgomery County families, middle and high school students have three (3) opportunities to experience Tony Hoffman speaking about the connection between mental health and substance use, and the resilience he found within himself. What was the thing that changed his life and got him from prison to the Olympics? Select any of the three evening talks to hear it straight from Tony. You can attend ANY of the talks, regardless of your school assignment because mental illness and substance use disorder does not discriminate or care where you live.

Tickets are FREE, but required, through Eventbrite where you can also learn much more about Tony Hoffman’s story. What you can only learn by seeing him, is how well and how strongly he connects with the audience, particularly students. SSL hours will be awarded. Masks are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED, per CDC and Montgomery County recommendations for indoor events. We want everyone healthy for graduations and end of year events.”
