Tottenham, Arsenal rival for the signing of Houssem Aouar

As reported by ESPN, the Tottenham Hotspur has gotten into the fight against Arsenal for the signing of Houssem Aouar in this summer transfer market. A new soap opera between two London teams has started.

The North London team, which has a new sports structure for this season with the arrivals of Paratici for the sports direction and Nuno Espírito Santo for the technical direction, has set its sights on the young French talent, who has become an opportunity market for this summer. His contract with Olympique de Lyon ends in the summer of 2023 and he does not want to renew, so this is one of the last opportunities for the French to get a good amount of money for him.

The possible exchange for Aouar

Tottenham would be willing to make a significant investment to acquire their services, although the ESPN report states that there is a possibility that they will offer a trade with Tanguy Nomdele, who does not convince Nuno and has not performed at the level expected by everyone in North London. The exchange would greatly lower Aouar’s price, although it is unknown if Lyon want the return of the steering wheel to take place.

Houssem Aouar, 23, comes from scoring eight goals and giving four assists in 33 games played. He is not coming from having his best season, but he continues to show that he has a differential talent and that he is in a position to be important in a top European club.

Arsenal have had him in their sights since they lost the battle over the signing of Emiliano Buendía, so they hope to be able to finalize his incorporation before his eternal rival can make a move in the coming weeks. Everything seems to indicate that Aouar will play in London next season.
