The Municipality of Lima reported that tourist visits in the area known as Apu Siqay and the hills of Villa María del Triunfo are not allowed.
Through a statement, the municipality explained that they are supervising organizations and companies that offer tourist visits to the hills located in the capital, “Promoting informality and the irresponsible and inappropriate use of these natural spaces”.
“The Lima commune urges the citizens to respect the established dates and places; likewise, it prohibits unauthorized tour operators in the Apu Siqay area ”, it reads.

Likewise, the commune indicated that in order to activate urban recreation spaces and stimulate the local economy, the biosafety protocols, gradually, in order to generate optimal conditions for tourist visits
In this way, it seeks to safeguard the well-being of the communities surrounding the Regional Conservation Area (ACR). “For this first stage of reopening, priority will be given to the hills of Paraíso, in Villa María del Triunfo, and the hills of El Mirador, in San Juan de Lurigancho”, he indicated.
At another time, the Municipality of Lima announced that it will initiate legal actions against natural or legal persons who fail to comply with the provisions given. and that they act irresponsibly, damaging the natural heritage of the city.
It should be noted that the ACR Sistema de Lomas de Lima, which includes the hills of Ancón, Carabayllo 1 and 2, Amancaes and Villa María, is administered by the capital’s commune.
