Arthur Melo traveled to Turin on Saturday night to finalize his transfer to Juventus. In exchange for the Brazilian midfielder, Barça should welcome the Bosnian Miralem Pjanic. But in the short term, this deal may pose a major problem to the Catalans.
Initially, Arthur did not feel like a transfer at all, but now he would have turned 180 degrees. The midfielder would be extremely irritated by both FC Barcelona and coach Quique Setién and threatens to no longer put on the Catalan shirt in his last weeks.
So Arthur has already traveled to Turin to take his medical tests and would consider staying there. That would be a blow to FC Barcelona, which is currently facing personnel problems in midfield. For example, Frenkie de Jong has been eliminated for some time with a calf injury.
Football also points to the problems in the Champions League. Several Barcelona midfielders cannot be deployed against Napoli in August.
