Brive will need reinforcements and this could happen from all possible sides, not just from the Top 14. Sometimes rugby offers tortuous paths to players who will succeed later in life. This recruitment, if confirmed, promises to be a good bet for the CAB.
Brive will need reinforcements on all lines and at all positions. At this time of year, it will not be easy to find all the possible players, with the desired profiles, and it will surely be necessary to make concessions to fill the many holes left by an unprecedented wave of departures.
According to La Montagne, Brive is interested in Mathieu Brignonen as a winger/back.
🚨 According to our information, the CAB is in the process of signing a Scottish international as well as a player from… Rennes, who went through the Seven with Monacohttps://t.co/Ines5voVdg pic.twitter.com/4A0u0PnbXc

Mathieu Brignonen’s career is atypical. Originally from the Paris region, Brigonen began rugby there but then continued in the United Arab Emirates (his father got a job and brought the whole family with him). He continued rugby in Abu Dhabi until he was 18. He will spend a season at the ASM training center in 2011/2012. In 2013, he arrived in Rennes for his studies and then joined the Rennes Etudiants Club. In Rennes, he has known everything, from the Federal 3 to the National this season. If the REC failed to sustain, Brignonen played 17 games (15 starts) and scored 2 tries.
VII specialist, Mathieu Brignonen (28 years old, 1m82, 83kg) can evolve on the wing as well as at the back. Not kept in Rennes at the end of the season, he would make the leap to the Pro D2, bringing squad depth to the fullback and winger positions.
