One of the revelations of this columérine season Mathis Galthié extends the adventure with his club. Reward for his very good season, he is now linked to the Colomiers club until 2025.
Mathis Galthié will stay two more seasons at Colomiers rugby! The scrum half, son of the current coach of the XV of France, extended his lease until June 2025 by signing his first professional contract. “I am very happy to sign my first professional contract with Colomiers, a club which opened the doors of the Pro D2 to me. I can’t wait to get back on the pitch and help the team rock the Michel-Bendichou stadium.” Galthié (21) suffered a hamstring injury against Grenoble. A glitch that will keep him away from the field until the end of the season or almost.
This extension rewards an excellent season during which he has proven himself despite competition from Edoardo Gori, Italian international with 69 caps, and Ugo Séguéla, for whom this is the third full season.
Mathis Galthié has played eleven games including four as a starter this season. He even scored two tries, at Aurillac and Carcassonne. He arrived at Colomiers in 2019 before making a move to Castanet in Federal 1 due to the pandemic. Last year, he managed to find a place in the rotation of the staff of Fabien Berneau and Julien Sarraute (5 games played).
