In addition to wind, Lisa will produce rain throughout the trajectory area, with the risk of flash flooding from the north of Honduras to the east of the Yucatan Peninsula, storm surge with sea level rise of up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) and rip currents.
The last cyclone formed in the Atlantic basin in this seasonwhich ends on November 30, was Karl, a tropical storm that hit the Mexican coast of the Gulf of Mexico in mid-October.
