In Barmbek, a cyclist was seriously injured in a turning accident with a truck. Apparently the truck driver had overlooked the woman.
The 55-year-old cyclist stood in the morning on the cycle lane at a red traffic light in Rümkerstraße in Barmbek Nord. A truck was waiting next to her that was about to turn right into Elligersweg. When the traffic light turned green, both drove off – the truck driver turned off, collided with the cyclist and partially rolled over her.

According to the police, the 55-year-old sustained a very serious leg injury. She came to the hospital with the emergency doctor, but there is no danger to her life. Accident specialists from the police took over the investigation into the cause. Proceedings were initiated against the 31-year-old truck driver. Why he overlooked the cyclist is still unclear.
