Trump, anti-socialism speech in Florida

PTrump will give a speech in Miami on Monday about the "dangers of socialism" the White House,

Trump will seek to pressure Nicolas Maduro, the Socialist leader of Venezuela, to relinquish power. He will renew his commitment to opposition leader Juan Guaido, whom the US has recognized as the "interim president" of the South American country.

The event will be held at Florida International University, which is located near a large Venezuelan exile community.

The news comes after Colombian President Ivan Duque Marquez visited Trump in the White House on Wednesday to discuss Venezuela. Trump confirmed to reporters that "all options" are being considered to force Maduro out of power.

Maduro faces international pressure as his country struggles with rampant poverty and scarcity of basic goods. Many Venezuelans flee the country to nearby Colombia. Maduro has blocked the entry of relief supplies, including food shipped from the US and other countries.

Trump had targeted socialism during his speech on the state of the Union last week and his Monday rally in El Paso, Texas.
