VLADIVOSTOK, September 16. / TASS /. Turnout in the re-election of the governor in Primorye at 10:00 local time (03:00 Moscow time) on Sunday was 5.08%, slightly higher than in a single day of voting on September 9. This was reported to journalists by the representative of the Territorial Electoral Commission Natalia Kamaeva.
"Turnout at 10:00 local time [03:00 мск] was 5.08%. Turnout at 10:00 on September 9 was 4.9%, that is, we have a little more turnout than on the main voting day of 9 September, "she said.
Kamaeva also said that one of the candidates' confidant received a complaint about insufficient information in the Arsenyevsky city district about holding a repeat vote.
As a result of a single voting day in Primorye, a second round of elections was appointed, since none of the candidates collected 50% of the votes required for election in the first round. The vice-governor of the region Andrey Tarasenko (United Russia) scored 46.57%, Andrei Ischenko (Communist Party) – 24.64%.
In the region on Sunday morning, 1,329 polling stations opened, with more than 10,000 members of election commissions. Voting takes place from 08:00 to 20:00 local time (from 01:00 to 13:00 Moscow time).
