Twitter officially blocks third-party apps

Twitter has recently updated its development agreement and has officially blocked third-party apps like Tweetbot, Twitterrific, Echofon and more. The social network made this decision without even giving a warning to the developers of third-party applications. Therefore, users can only use Twitter through the official social network app on iOS or Android, or through the website. Twitter indicated that developers cannot “create a service or product that substitutes or is similar to Twitter’s applications”. “Twitter enforces its long-standing API rules. This may result in some applications not working”, said the platform when third-party apps abruptly stopped working.
