In the Dagestan village Tisi-Akhitli in Tsumadinsky district a fire occurred. The fire engulfed 20 houses, said Tass Saigidgusen Magomedov, head of the rural settlement of Tindi, which includes the village of Tissi-Ahitli.

The incident was reported to the operational unit at 21:00 Moscow time, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said. According to preliminary data, there are no victims and victims as a result of what happened. Residents of fire-lit buildings evacuated.

Now they and two fire crews are taking part in extinguishing a fire, the head of the region Anvargaji Vechedov said in an interview with TASS. In total, according to his data, about a thousand people are involved in these works. People lined up in 10 rows to transfer water to extinguish from a nearby river. It is located about 1 km from the scene of the incident.

Authorities, according to the agency, do not rule out further spread of fire. Six of the 20 houses have already completely burned, Vechedov specified. The total area of ​​fire, according to preliminary data of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, is 2.5 thousand square meters. Fire, as noted in the department, quickly spread because of the dense buildings. In total in the village of Tisi-Akhitli, as a source in the emergency services explained to TASS, there are 85 houses.

The fact that the spread of fire in the village managed to stop, local authorities said two hours after the start of the fire.
