The Jean-Mermoz private hospital in Lyon and the private hospital in the East of Lyon in Saint-Priest were computerized on Wednesday evening, January 25.
People tried to enter the computer servers of two Lyon hospitals, belonging to the Ramsay Santé group. As a result, the security procedure was triggered to protect the establishments, which means that the external accesses to the servers were closed, reports Progress.
However, on the side of the Jean-Mermoz private hospital, the consequences were heavier since the emergencies had to be closed until Tuesday. A patient has been transferred to another hospital and some surgeries have been postponed.
The Ramsay Health group has announced that no data theft has been reported and the investigation is continuing to be able to reopen the servers of the establishments to the outside.
Two other health establishments belonging to the Ramsay Santé group, the Convert clinic located in Bourg-en-Bresse and a clinic in Toulouse, were also affected by this cyberattack.
