Madea's days of raw language and crime come to an end.

Tyler Perry, 49, revealed Monday that he almost killed the icon next year, almost two decades after all of the violent grandmother was introduced.

"That's it," Perry told host Bevy Smith Monday on their SiriusXM radio program "Bevelations." "It's time for me to kill the old, I'm tired!"

Do not fret. Madea will make a final cameo in a farewell staged tour and "Tyler Perry's A Madea Family Funeral" in 2019, but based on Perry's admission, the mundane matriarch might retire.

"We'll say goodbye in (2019)," Perry said.

His consideration? "I just do not want to be her age when I play her." Perry has been portraying Madea since 1999 and debuted on stage during "I Can Do Bad All by Myself".

Although he has withdrawn the make-up and wig forever, Perry Madea will probably hold onto his heart. The character – based on his own mother, aunt and Eddie Murphy's performance in "Nutty Professor II: The Klumps" – has grossed $ 10 million at the box office worldwide.
