Gardens, green areas and sports fields of the Rodrigo Facio campus, of the University of Costa Rica (UCR), in Montes de Oca, will open the doors to their neighbors so that they can enjoy recreational, sports and artistic activities on Sundays May 15 and 22 , from 7 a.m. to noon.
‘UCR moves you’ is the invitation made by the Chancellor’s Office, the Vice-Chancellor’s Office for Social Action, Student Life, Teaching, Research and Administration as part of the offer of public spaces for the improvement of the quality of life of the inhabitants of the community.
As reported by the University, these two Sundays several outdoor spaces will be available for the enjoyment of families.
The green areas adjacent to the Faculty of Arts, the parking lot of the Faculty of Education, and the famous Parapet in the School of General Studies will be used.
Also the parking lot between the School of Plastic Arts and the Carlos Monge Alfaro Library and the soccer field near the Law School.
The University enlists different programs and projects from its schools, institutes, centers, regional offices and university units, which include guided visits to the José María Orozco Botanical Garden, the Butterfly Garden and educational walks around the university campus.
An agricultural fair, an exhibition of ornamental plants, bird watching and sports activities between exhibitions and workshops for all ages are scheduled.

Muévete Station, on the Law court: soccer workshop for girls and boys (7 am to 7:50 am); departure for a guided tour of the bio-healthy circuit of the campus at 8 am; recreational activities of the Active Aging Project (9 am to 9:50 am).
UCR station present, in parking lot of Plastic Arts and José María Orozco Botanical Garden: ‘A Pause of Serenity’ walk (8am); and exhibition of projects (7 am to 12 md).
Healthy Life Station, in the Faculty of Education parking lot: bird watching (departure 7 am); street soccer mini-tournament (8 am).
Respira Station, in the green area of the Faculty of Fine Arts: yoga session (7 am to 7:50 am); musical interpretation (10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m.)
Preticulture Station, in General Studies: agricultural fair and exhibition of ornamental plants throughout the morning; aerobics and cleteada (8 am to 8:50 am); Karate and taekwondo workshop (11 am to 11:50 am).
