UGM & PAN Lecturer’s Counterattack, Ade Armando Cs Threatened by Police Report

Social media activist and lecturer at the University of Indonesia, Goodbye Armando and politicians from the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), Guntur Romli, is in danger of being reported back to the police for alleged defamation.

According to the plan, Ade Armando will be reported by PAN DPP Chairman Saleh Partaonan Daulay, while Guntur will be reported by Gadjah Mada University (UGM) Lecturer Karna Wijaya.

“(Reporting) for posther and para buzzer related framing (framing) NII and radical-radicul,” said Karna during an interview, Tuesday (19/4).

Karna admitted that he is currently coordinating with his legal team to report Guntur and other parties who are considered to have framed him in certain issues.

As for Karna, Guntur had previously reported it to the Polda Metro Jaya, on Monday (18/4). Because it was reported related to allegations of incitement and or threats through electronic media and or hate speech through electronic media, Article 160 of the Criminal Code and or Article 29 in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph 3 and or Article 28 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph 2 of the ITE Law.

Guntur and his wife feel threatened because of the collage photos uploaded by Karna on their Facebook account. They are in the same frame with Ade Armando’s photo which is cross-marked with the narration ‘One by One in installments’.

Guntur admitted that at first he did not intend to report Karna because he was a lecturer. However, after being investigated, Guntur said that Karna was also involved in an intolerant movement.

Meanwhile, Saleh said, PAN would report back to Ade Armando for the alleged defamation case. Eddy was previously reported to the police for the alleged defamation case by Ade Armando’s legal team, Muannas Alaidid.

Eddy was reported because the tweet on his Twitter account was considered offensive to Ade. The report against Eddy was registered with the report LP/B/1990/IV/2022/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA, April 18, 2022.

“I need to emphasize here that PAN will use our constitutional right to report Ade Armando’s side on the basis of defamation,” Saleh said in a written statement, Wednesday (20/4).

Saleh stated that PAN will also report to Ade’s legal power over the alleged spread of hatred.

“[Termasuk] brother Muannas Alaidid on the basis of suspicion of spreading hatred, the evidence of which is clearly read on social media,” he said.
