Ukraine closed a checkpoint on the border with Crimea

Ukraine has stopped the passage of persons across the state border to the Kalanchak checkpoint from Russia (the Armyansk checkpoint) due to construction work of increased danger. This is stated in a press release from the border control of the FSB of Russia in the Republic of Crimea, reports TASS.

According to the department, the checkpoint located opposite Armyansk was closed at 09:20 on November 7th.

“For reasons beyond the control of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Crimea, people and vehicles cannot pass through the state border of the Russian Federation through MAPP Armyansk,” the press release said.

Despite the fact that Ukraine has closed the checkpoint, automobile checkpoints of the border regional department of the FSB of Russia in the north of Crimea are operating normally. So, on November 6, 2.4 thousand people passed through the state border in Armyansk.
