Under the slogan #DonarNosUne, the National Organ and Tissue Donation Day is celebrated – Ministerio de Salud Pública de Tucumán

The person in charge of the Training and Extension area of ​​CUCAITUC, María del Carmen Nazr, provided details on the activities carried out to commemorate the National Day of Organ and Tissue Donation.

In this context, the referent commented that they were installed in two branches of the Gómez Pardo supermarkets -Yerba Buena and Tafí Viejo– Information tables that have educational material for the community, so that anyone who wishes can approach and learn about the donation and receive souvenirs on the subject.

“The idea is to remember the importance of organ donation, the hashtag we use this year is #DonarNosUne motivated by the time of the pandemic that kept us a little away from the community and unable to carry out this type of activity. Now that we can get closer, this is the way we chose to do it,” said Nazr, while highlighting the presence and participation of health personnel from hospitals such as Los Ralos and San José and Ginés González García polyclinics.

On the occasion doctors, psychologists, nurses, socio-sanitary agents gathered in the awareness activity; as well as teachers of the Home and Hospital Education modality of the Ministry of Education, parents and primary school students, members of the “Juan Pablo II” Private Institute and Fundación Boreal.

“In the province we currently exceed the national average and in general we are at those levels, two points above the national rate, but nevertheless we continue to prioritize dissemination, because we always need more donors, mainly in the pediatric part,” he said. the reference to the time that emphasized that although the national law establishes that we are all donors, unless expressly denied, in the case of pediatric donation, because they are minors, authorization must be requested from the parents.

Regarding the relevance of awareness activities, the head of the area reflected: “Unfortunately, human beings tend to forget, to fall asleep, to distance themselves from situations that distress or sadden them, that is why we constantly try to keep a memory alive, of remember that there are other beings who are in need of a transplant to improve their quality of life or to live, that we are firm and that it is a beautiful act to be able to save the life of another person and that of their entire family environment that is altered”.
