United Airlines increases flights to London

The airline company United Airlines will add daily frequencies to London from New York, Denver and San Francisco, and start a new link from Boston for a total next spring of 22 daily frequencies between the USA and the capital of the United Kingdom – its most sought after international destination in October by business travelers.

In addition to what it already calls “the largest transatlantic expansion in its history”, the American company will add from March 26, 2022 two daily flights (in Boeing 767-300ER ‘Premium’) to the five already in place between its base at Newark-Liberty and the airport of London Heathrow, with “departures from New York every hour in the evening”. United Airlines will add between San Francisco and London a third daily flight in 787-9 Dreamliner, and will restart its route from Denver with a second daily flight in 787-9.

The road enters Boston-Logan and the British airport, scheduled for this fall, will finally open on March 26, with a daily 767-300ER rotation. United will be competing with American Airlines, British Airways, Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic, most likely JetBlue which is due to launch next year.

The company of Star Alliance currently offers seven flights per day to London, two from Newark, two to Washington and one to Chicago, Houston and San Francisco. The relaunch of the road since The Angels is scheduled for March 4.

« For nearly 30 years, United has provided a vital link between the United States and London, and maintained service throughout the pandemic by strategically increasing our hours to keep our customers connected in these major global business centers. “Said in a statement Patrick Quayle, SVP International Network and Alliances. ” London is an integral part of United’s network, and we remain confident that demand will continue to grow, particularly with the return of international business travel in 2022. “, he added.

United Airlines will offer 22 flights per day between the United States and London starting next spring, and “more flights between New York and London than any other American carrier”. London was the most booked international destination for United’s business customers in October, and the airline “expects this trend to continue into 2022”.
