PEORIA (WEEK) – UnityPoint Health has a new president
to conduct their UnityPlace Behavioral Health Services.
Dr Ted Bender was selected to lead behavioral health
and addiction services, effective 2 January.
“Dr. Ted Bender's valuable experience in managing dual diagnosis treatment centers and his passion for strategic planning will be valuable assets to bring the UnityPlace services to the next level, ”said Dr Keith Knepp, President and CEO of UnityPoint Health – Central Illinois. “We are delighted that we have such a strong leader to support our efforts to improve access, experience and patient care in Central Illinois.
Dr. Bender from UnityPoint Health in Forney, Texas where he was Chief Executive of The Treehouse Addiction Campuses, an 180 bedded facility that provided treatment for substance misuse and mental health disorders.
He said he is fully committed to developing and driving an integrated strategy to increase access and services for addiction and mental health services in Central Illinois.

Dr. Bender in clinical psychology, earning to BS, MS and Ph.D. from Florida State University and MBA from Texas A&M.
He completed his doctoral residency at Brown University – Warren Alpert School of Medicine and is currently enrolled in the Harvard Business Analytics Program in Data Analytics and is expected to be completed in 2020.
