Talente, Live Sets, Jam Session

Modern Blues comes to the stage of the Eisenwerk Hall on Saturday, September 24th, from 9 p.m. The legendary Blues Aravan is here.

Frauenfeld The legendary showcase tour by Ruf Records is now 17 years old, but the concept remains unbeatable and therefore unchanged. Three up and coming talents from the most respected blues label in Europe. Three live sets spanning the full spectrum of genres and emotions. And to top it off, a jam session in which all artists stand together on stage and inspire the audience.

Katie Henry is one of a kind. On stage, she flits between vocal mic, piano and Gibson SG in a style that encompasses rock, roots, R&B, soul, funk and pop. You might be reminded of Bonnie Raitt for a moment. But it is her very own, genuine charisma, her honest songwriting and the musician’s impressive ability on two instruments, with which she was able to earn her good reputation. “When my audience goes home feeling like they’ve come closer to themselves and to the others, then I know I’ve done a good job.”

Will Jacobs is a contemporary blues/R&B/soul artist from Chicago, Illinois, USA. At 28, he is best known for his powerful live performances. Whether he’s playing clubs/festivals, performing with other world-class musicians, doing sessions or composing, Will always looks forward to sharing his passion for music with audiences. In 2022, the Blues Caravan audience can look forward to another musical talent who will make the stages tremble with his guitar.

Ghalia Volt, who comes from Brussels, has been living and touring in the USA for many years and has internalized the original blues like hardly any other European artist. The singer and guitarist first caused a sensation as the frontwoman of the New Orleans-based Mama’s Boys; her 2019 album “Mississippi Blend” cemented her reputation as an exceptional talent. At the beginning of 2021 she released her album “One Woman Band”, which was recorded in the representative Royal Studios in Memphis. An album where she could prove her skills as a multi-instrumentalist. At Blues Caravan 2022, Ghalia presents us with a show featuring all the hits from her three Ruf Records releases. red
