The profession of host and cashier is still not destined to disappear, quite the contrary, and to the delight of customers. AT Chartres (Eure-et-Loir), the Carrefour supermarket in the La Madeleine district wants to get closer to the inhabitants.

The supermarket has just put into service the “BlaBla Caisse”, run by the volunteer Marie-Christine. The objective of this fund: to return to the basis of the trade, the relationship with the customer.

Take the time to chat at checkout

“An outfit for the little ones, you will make people happy…”, “you have magnificent roses”, “everyone is fine at home”, “see you next week”… Very comfortable in the exercise, the cashier Chartres takes its role to heart and weaves a special relationship with the regulars of the supermarket.

This initiative should allow customers, who so wish, to have a longer discussion with the host or cashier.

Carrefour Chartres La Madeleine

An idea from the Netherlands

This approach, which is supposed to give “balm to the heart and [rappeler] to what extent commerce is a place of meetings and exchanges”, comes straight from the Netherlands, where the conversation box is commonplace. More than 250 stores are taking part among the Dutch.

In France, only two brands, Carrefour and the U stores, have so far deployed this system, which is ever closer to the consumer.

And it is not to displease the customers, on the social networks, with the announcement of this opening of a fund of this type, the Chartrains Internet users seem seduced. A nice marketing stunt, during the winter sales!
