The Center for Transfusion, Tissues and Cells of Cádiz has organized three new collections of blood donation for next week, between May 29 and June 1, in Jerez de la Frontera.
The first point for blood donation will be enabled this Monday, May 29, in the neighborhood center of the neighborhood of Vallesequillo on Calle Ferrocarril s/n, in the afternoon from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The second point will be open a day later, on Tuesday May 30, at the premises of the neighborhood association of the Atlantic Parkin the Plaza de Arlés s/n, at the same afternoon hours from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The third point will be located on Thursday June 1 at the Chapel of Sorrows on Calle Porvenir, 1 in the afternoon from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The Transfusion Center insists on the need to increase the existing reserves at present.
Also, remember that the Fixed Donation Point is always available at the CTTC in the Jerez hospital. Ring Road, s/n. Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Requirements to be a donor
In principle, all adults between the ages of 18 and 65, weighing more than 50 kilos and generally being in good health can be a blood donor. For this, these are the requirements:
– It is necessary to have the minimum weight indicated because each donation collects a standard amount for all donors (450 ml)
– Women can donate up to 3 times a year, and men. Between each blood donation, at least two months must elapse
– It is not necessary to be fasting to donate blood; even having made a normal meal you can donate without problems
– You can donate blood even if you have high cholesterol or take some frequent medications
– You cannot do it if you suffer from anemia or carry out risk practices that facilitate the spread of diseases
