An international coalition led by the United States launched an airstrike on the Hadjin settlement in the Syrian province of Deir ez-Zor. This is the agency SANA.
According to preliminary data, at least 15 Syrians died. It is noted that the aviation attacked the outpost of the Islamic State Islamic Organization (IG), which was banned in Russia, but the attacks were inflicted on the homes of local residents.
Earlier, on October 31, a representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Konashenkov, stated that the international coalition led by the United States used ammunition prohibited by international conventions during air strikes on the east bank of the Euphrates. According to him, more than 120 civilians have been killed in the last month as a result of attacks on human settlements in eastern Syria.
The armed conflict in Syria began in 2011. It involves government forces acting on the side of President Bashar Assad, moderate opposition and various Islamist groups.
Since the fall of 2015, Russia, at the official request of the Syrian government, has been hitting the positions of terrorists in Syria. Similar actions have been undertaken since 2014 by the US-led international coalition, but without the permission of Damascus.
