The United States has now confirmed five cases of a new coronavirus originating from Wuhan, China, almost a month ago. The outbreak killed 132 people and more than 6,000 were inflicted on the Chinese mainland.
There are 17 other countries: Australia, Cambodia, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates. the United States, and Vietnam.
The coronary virus family is a large group of viruses that usually affect the respiratory tract. The common cold, pneumonia, and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), which resulted in 8,000 cases and 774 deaths in China from November 2002 to July 2003, can lead to illnesses.
Patients with the new coronary virus – known as 2019-nCoV – reported symptoms such as fever, cough, and breathing difficulties. The people who died were mostly elderly or otherwise ill, according to Chinese officials. No deaths were reported outside China.
This is everything we know about the five cases in the United States.
The first case of the United States was reported on 21 January, when it was confirmed that a man in his 30s was ill in Snohomish County, Washington.
The patient contracted the virus after visiting Wuhan but did not show any signs when traveling.
The Disease Control and Prevention Centers require twenty US airports – including those in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Chicago – to filter passengers for the virus. All flights into and out of Wuhan were canceled.
The man who got the virus landed at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport before the protocols were put in place. Health officials in Washington said that they were able to detect this situation early, and that the man was hardly isolated.
Chris Spitters, health officer for the Snohomish Health District, said during the CDC’s information session on 21 January that the patient was “without a precautionary abundance and short-term monitoring, not because of severe illness.” T
The man is in good health now, according to spokesman at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, Herald Net reported.
Three days later, a woman in her 60s was the second reported case in the United States. She is receiving treatment in Chicago.
The woman traveled to Wuhan in December to look after her older father, and then returned to Chicago on 13 January.
She didn’t show any signs when she was traveling but she called her doctor a few days after she returned to the US to say she was sick. The patient was sent to a local hospital, where she was isolated and given fluids. Doctors are treating their symptoms much as they treat pneumonia.
As of January 24, the woman was in a stable position, said the CDC, according to ABC7 News Chicago. Local health officers said that she had not taken public transport, had not attended any public meetings, or had had little contact with anyone outside her house after returning to Chicago.
“I would like to start saying clearly: This is one case related to travel, not a local emergency,” said Allison Arwady, commissioner of Chicago Public Health Department, according to ABC. “I can be reassured that the health risk to the general public remains from low novel crown viruses at this time, even with this Chicago case.”

On January 22, Wuhan resident who was traveling through Los Angeles International Airport on his way to China reported that he was not feeling good with airport staff. It was taken to a local hospital immediately.
California’s second case was identified in Orange County. The patient is kept separate in a local hospital and is reported to be working well.
In Arizona, a patient is alone. The person is living in Maricopa County, including Phoenix. Health officials described the patient as “a member of the Arizona State University community” but said the person was not living in university housing.
The three patients traveled from Wuhan recently.

Thousands of people have gone through airport screening in the United States.
To date, only five cases have returned positively. The CDC reported that since January 21, 68 people had been negatively tested for the virus. The agency plans to test more people in the coming days.

Initially, authorities suspected that the coronary virus – which probably came on a wholesale seafood market – could spread it from people alone. But they later decided that people could refer the virus to each other.
As five US patients have recently traveled from Wuhan, there is no evidence that they have passed the virus to others in the United States.
The CDC also said that there was no evidence that the virus is spread through imported Chinese goods.
The CDC recommends that all inadequate travel to Hubei province of China, where Wuhan is located.
“I hope our travel proposals will change in the coming days,” said Nancy Messonnier, director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases Monday.
At the moment, people traveling to China are advised to avoid contact with sick people, especially those with cold symptoms such as cough or nose.
The CDC also recommends that all travelers move their hands frequently with soap and water and scrub for at least 20 seconds. They should refrain from contacting their eyes, nose, or mouth with unrestricted hands.
Older travelers and anyone with preexisting health conditions should consult a doctor before they travel to China, the CDC said.

The flight landed in Anchorage, Alaska on Tuesday evening. It is expected to reach its final destination, the March Air Reserve in Riverside, California, Wednesday.
Wuhan public transport – including buses, ferries and trains – was stopped last week. Trains and airplanes that arrived in and out of the city were stopped, and road blocks were installed to keep taxis and private cars out of the city.
11 million Wuhan residents were told not to leave the city, and to prevent special circumstances.
Robert Redfield, director of the CDC, said Monday “the risk to the public in the US is now low.” T
“In today’s world, an outbreak anywhere can be a risk everywhere,” Redfield tweeted Monday. “The risk is dependent on exposure. 2019-nCoV is not spreading in the US at this time.”
Wuhan’s coronary killed at least 130 people and has more than 6,000 infections. This is everything we know about the outbreak.

Health experts issued a remarkable warning about a coronary virus pandemic 3 months ago. The virus killed a simulation of 65 million people.
The outbreaks of Wuhan coronary and SARS probably originated in the Chinese wet markets. Photographs show the appearance of the markets.
