Use these ‘remedies’ for side effects – El Financiero

Vaccination against COVID-19 in the population between 5 and 11 years of age began this Monday in Mexico City with the application of the biological product from Pfizer-BioNTech.

The undersecretary of Health, Hugo López Gatell, He specified that people who have suffered from COVID-19 must wait at least 15 days to apply the dose.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) warned that children and adolescents who apply the COVID vaccine may have the following side effects:

  • Pain, swelling, and redness in the arm where the injection was given
  • Fever
  • Fatigue
  • Headache
  • Shaking chills
  • Muscle or joint pain
  • swollen lymph nodes

To counteract side effects after the vaccine, the CDC suggests asking your doctor for some pain reliever other than aspirin, as well as placing a cold, wet cloth on the area where the injection was given.

United States health authorities do not recommend the use of aspirin in people under the age of 18, as they may be at risk of developing Reye’s syndrome, which can cause inflammation in the brain and liver.
