The land at the corner of rue du March 19, 1962 and rue Alexis-Chaussinan, in Ivry-sur-Seine (Val-de-Marne), is likely to be under construction for at least a year and a half. This is the location of the future Ivry Plateau college, the construction of which began in January 2022. Previously, from July to December 2021, preparation work took place, with injections to fill the quarries and the terracing of the land. Unless there is a delay in the calendar, the establishment had to be ready in time to welcome its first students at the start of the 2023 school year.

Ivry Plateau will be the fifth college in Ivry-sur-Seine and the 109th in the department. It will allow a better distribution of the pupils of the commune. A budget of 35 million euros, fully financed by the Departmental Council, was devoted to all of the work. The construction of the complex was entrusted to the firm Atelier d’architecture Manuel R. Da Costa, based in Ivry-sur-Seine. Covering a total area of 6,600 m2, the establishment will consist of 28 teaching rooms. In total, it will be able to accommodate 26 classes.
