It was learned that Meza was transferred from his home to a headquarters of the Criminal and Criminal Scientific Investigation Corpss (CiCPC) to be questioned.
“I have a prosecutor from the Public Ministry and the CICPC at home. They take me to testify about some works that were published in The National. So far only research, they tell me, ”he said on his networks.

The National Union of Press Workers confirmed the arrest.
“We confirm that @ElNacionalWeb journalist José Gregorio Meza was visited this #25Jan at his home, in Caracas, by a prosecutor from the Public Ministry and a CICPC commission that took him to an unidentified place to testify about journalistic work,” they wrote on Twitter.

Earlier, members of the opposition National Assembly denounced searches of their homes. They are the president of that parliament, Dinorah Figuera, and Auristela Vásquez, vice president.
Figuera posted a video on his networks in which police patrols are observed.
