“Venezuela triumphed with its truth”: Maduro on the UN’s Third Universal Periodic Review of Human Rights

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, assured that Venezuela won an important victory in the III Universal Periodic Review before the United Nations Human Rights Council, where the Bolivarian nation raised its voice to denounce the violations of human rights by the Government of the United States (USA) and its allies against progressive peoples, through the application of unilateral coercive measures.

This is how the president expressed it this Wednesday, January 26, during a working day dedicated to the development of the fishing sector in the country: “It was extraordinary, it was a total success, it was a victory for the truth of Venezuela.”

In this sense, he extended his recognition to the executive vice president, Delcy Rodríguez, for leading the Venezuelan delegation for the presentation of this exam, where he affirmed that More than 100 countries expressed their support for the South American nation.

The head of state stressed that although there were some “extremist opinions of the defeated coup plotters” against Venezuela, such as the US and Colombian governments, he emphasized that these political actors were isolated.

«Venezuela triumphed with its truth, with data in hand, we have resisted and defeated them at all levels, now we are defeating them at the level of the United Nations Human Rights system. No lie can pass over the powerful truth of Venezuelan democracy«, he specified.
