When VfB Stuttgart welcomes 1. FC Köln to the season finale in the Mercedes-Benz Arena on Saturday afternoon (3.30 p.m., live ticker), coach Pellegrino Matarazzo’s team can once again look forward to a full hut. The arrival for the fans could prove to be problematic, however, because on Saturday the dismantling of the spring festival is still going on at the Cannstatter Wasen.

According to VfB Stuttgart, this primarily affects fans who travel by car. Due to the dismantling of the Spring Festival, the Wasen car park (P10) cannot be used in full, and only a fraction of the parking spaces in the P7 car park on Martin-Schrenk-Weg are available due to renovation work.
The gates of the Mercedes-Benz Arena open at 1.30 p.m
As usual, Mercedesstraße will be closed from 12 noon on Saturday for the safety of fans arriving. The police will also temporarily block Benzstraße. As Ilona Bonn, spokeswoman for the Stuttgart police, explains, Benzstrasse is to be used as a parking lot for the buses with visiting fans.
After the home games against Wolfsburg and Dortmund were obstructed due to S-Bahn construction work, there is good news, at least for the fans who are now traveling by public transport. Because restrictions in rail, S-Bahn and tram traffic are currently not to be expected.
Nevertheless, VfB recommends that fans arrive early. The gates of the Mercedes-Benz Arena open at 1.30 p.m.
