The list of nominations for the Golden Globes 2019 has just been dropped. Vice, a biopic dedicated to former US Vice President Dick Cheney, garnered the highest number of nominations for this ceremony, which opens the Hollywood season.

Five nominations for "A star is born" with Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga

Selected six times (including "Best Musical or Comedy Film" and "Best Director"), Adam McKay's film with Christian Bale in Dick Cheney is just ahead of A Star Is Born, with Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga, with five nominations. The film will be released in France on February 13, 2019.

On a par with five citations, in the category of "comedies", the Golden Globes have retained Favorite and her trio of fashionable actresses (Olivia Colman in Queen Anne, Rachel Weisz and Emma Stone arguing over her favors) and Green Book, which pitches Mahershala Ali (Oscar for best supporting role in Moonlight) and Viggo Mortensen.

BlacKkKlansman, Spike Lee's film inspired by the real story of a black policeman who infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan, and the highly anticipated Return of Mary Poppins with Emily Blunt in the title role, complete the podium with four nominations each.

"The Assassination of Gianni Versace" at the top of the nominations

Side small screen is the mini-series The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story who dominates
the Golden Globes with 4 nominations, including "Best Miniseries" and "Best Actor in a Miniseries". Just behind, with three nominations, we find The Americans or Sharp Objects.

The Globes, which will be handed out on January 6, are among the most coveted American cinema awards. They are an indicator of films with good chances for the Oscars at the end of February.
