The Mexican artistic milieu is in mourning. The National Association of Interpreters (ANDI) announced this Monday the death of the Mexican actor Javier Rouen, who participated for more than four decades in successful Televisa soap operas, including titles such as Maria from the neighborhood, Crown of tears and, more recently, Simply maria.

“The National Association of Interpreters communicates the sensitive death of the interpreter partner Javier Ruán. Mexican actor and screenwriter with a broad career in theater, film and television. He is remembered by soap operas such as Small town, big hell, Rina and Crown of tearsas well as for the movies Pedro Paramo and The marked ones. We send our deepest condolences to their family and friends from the Board of Directors and the Monitoring Committee of ANDI “, reads the statement that ANDI shared through social networks.

One of the last most remembered television works of the actor was his participation in the successful melodrama Crown of tears (2012), where he gave life to Isaías Requena, the abusive boss of Refugio Chavero (Victoria Ruffo) who made life impossible for the protagonist.

Indeed, Victoria Ruffo was one of the first actresses to regret her departure through social networks, where she dedicated some emotional words to her partner and friend.

“RIP the great actor and friend Javier Ruán,” the Mexican actress wrote on Twitter.

His death happens just two months after the start of the filming of the long-awaited second season of Crown of tears, which will premiere in 2022 in Mexico.
