More than 22,000 spectators attended the Aiglons match against Lille. A tribute was paid to a supporter who died last week. Gaëtan Laborde scored the only goal of the match.

It’s a day of victory in Nice for the Aiglons.

For the 3rd game of the new coach, it’s a success.

During the press conference, Didier Digard congratulates his players: “Against a very good team, we showed great things. We were put in danger on some of our phases of possession. We gave them the opportunities. It was a different match (from Montpellier, 6-1 on January 11) but I am very happy with the performance of the players. I was satisfied with the intensity put in by the team, but also by the entrants, who made it possible to keep a high pace.”

Sometimes abused by a Lille in form, OGC Nice resisted and won (1-0) this Sunday at the Allianz Riviera.

Gaëtan Laborde took advantage of an assist from Badredine Bouanani to score the only goal of the game.

After two weeks of work, OGC Nice had a good match. Yet the task was difficult against an offensive and dangerous team.

The beautiful photos of the match can be found on the OGC Nice Facebook account.

The manager trusted the same men as in his first two games on the bench, with one exception named Badredine Bouanani.

Established in place of Nicolas Pepe, forfeited due to knee pain, the young winger showed off his technical accuracy and his inspiration for a big hour of play. His first as a holder in L1.

First during which he delivers his second assist. In the 34th minute, the player born and trained in Lille, who signed his first pro contract at the Gym in the summer of 2022, smelled Cabella’s mistake.

He leaps on a failed back pass, goes into a duel with Chevalier and, when it comes time to conclude, offers the goal to Gaëtan Laborde on a plate.

This one did not need to be asked to register his 5th goal with the Gym (1-0, 34’).

Coach’s reaction to Badredine Bouanani’s decisive strike : “He’s a little guy who isn’t afraid of the ball, who is very comfortable technically, who goes forward and who creates things. It’s a great performance for a first start, which is more against such a fine opponent as Lille.”

During the first part of the debate, the Rouge et Noir also created opportunities: a shot from Thuram repelled by Chevalier (9′), a return from Laborde off target (13′) and a curled ball from Bouanani just above above the frame (20′).

A l’issue du match, the Gym wins 3 nice points.

As for the future Andy Delort within OGC Nice, his departure could be formalized in the coming days. The striker joined the club in August 2021.

A game that happened smoothly in front of more than 22,000 spectators.

Before the meeting, a tribute was paid to Sébastien Merat, nicknamed “Sébou”, who died suddenly at the age of 40 on January 20. A supporter who has never counted his time for the platform, as his friends mention.

An online kitty has been launched to help his family and his partner.

The club will travel to Lens on Wednesday February 1 on the occasion of the 21st day, kick-off at 9 p.m.
