Second-placed Manchester City are four points behind him, but have a game in hand.
The meeting between Fulham and Newcastle had a clear course, the visitors won 4:1 thanks to two goals from the Paraguayan winger Miguel Almiron. The newcomer was already at a numerical disadvantage from the 8th minute, when Nathaniel Chalobah received a red card for kicking. Slovak goalkeeper Marek Rodák watched the duel only from the bench.
In the very end, on the contrary, Chelsea decided on their victory, winning 2:1 at Crystal Palace. The fourth triumph of the season and the move to fifth place was secured by Conor Gallagher in the 90th minute.
West Ham ended a streak of three league games without a win, beating Wolverhampton 2-0 and recording their second triumph since the start of this Premier League season. The home team maintained a two-goal lead despite the pressure exerted by the “Wolves” especially in the final twenty minutes.
