Apparently, the BMW X7 has no way to compete directly with the Lamborghini Urus, because it is from a larger and heavier segment, weighing almost half a ton more. But still, BMW has a top-of-the-line version with the M index on it, called the M60i, which makes this huge 7-seater SUV capable of dueling closely not only with models of its size, but even with the Lamborghini Urus.
The BMW X7 M60i has a 4.4-liter V8 engine that produces 530 hp. The Lamborghini Urus, on the other hand, has a 4.0-liter V8 that pumps out 650 hp. So a notable difference in power, and if we also put weight into the equation, the fate of this duel seems to be predestined. One in which the Lamborghini reaches the finish line much earlier, and the BMW waits.
But it wasn’t really like that. The duel was much closer, and at the start the BMW even had the advantage. It was only when the cars were in 3rd gear with the engines revved in the region of maximum power that the power made the difference and the Lamborghini overtook the BMW. In the result, the difference at 402 meters was only 0.6 seconds. Considering that in the BMW X7 you have space for 7 seats, it’s a truly admirable result.
