Visit to Cuba of Sergei Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, announced › Cuba › Granma

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Hon. Mr. Serguei V. Lavrov, will pay a visit to Cuba on April 19.

As confirmed by the Cuban Foreign Ministry, the visitor will hold talks with Cuban authorities and carry out other activities of interest.

Official sources of the Russian Government informed that this visit to Cuba is part of a tour that will take him from next 17 to 21 to Brazil, Venezuela, Nicaragua and this Caribbean nation to promote mutually beneficial cooperation in the political, commercial, economic, educational, humanitarian, cultural and others.

Lavrov is expected to hold meetings with the leaders of these countries and carry out negotiations with the respective foreign ministers, with the aim of strengthening the international legal foundations of the modern world, whose basic framework is the Charter of the United Nations.
