Vodafone’s fixed line portfolio is renewed

Vodafone’s TV portfolio will be renewed this year as well: from September 28, up to 122, including 61 HD quality TV channels will be available to Vodafone’s customers, which is one of the widest HD programs in Hungary, the service provider announced. In addition to traditional channels, streaming content such as Netflix, RTL Most +, Da Vinci Kids or YouTube will be available – although Netflix and YouTube have previously been present on the company’s new TV platform.

Vodafone has already eliminated its duplicate SD and HD channels in its channel offerings over the summer, thus almost embedding the current portfolio update. The aim of the measure was to ensure that channels available in both SD and HD quality would no longer be distracting while watching TV, instead their subscribers would automatically be able to enjoy the higher quality channels available in their programming package.

According to the company, their super-fast, 1 gigabit fixed-line internet service is becoming more and more popular, and it is already available in more than 1.5 million homes and businesses in Hungary. The simplification and rearrangement of the TV channel offer is one of the preconditions for the service provider to be able to establish end-point connections on the cable network with higher transmission speeds in as many areas as possible.
