Volleyball Bundesliga: Four regular players leave the Netzhoppers

The Netzhoppers KW-Bestensee are facing a major upheaval in the Bundesliga for the coming season. Four regulars are leaving the club. Diagonal attacker Brandon Rattray, middle blocker Blake Leeson, setter José Jardim and outside attacker Stefan Kaibald say goodbye to the Brandenburgers with an unknown destination. The Netzhoppers announced this on Tuesday.

“We are currently actively working on the squad for the coming season,” said Britta Wersinger, the assistant to the management at Netzhoppers. Head coach Tomasz Wasilkowski is currently holding training sessions with candidates who could close the gaps that have arisen.

The Netzhoppers submitted their licensing documents for the 2022/23 season to the Volleyball Bundesliga (VBL) on time. The club is currently in talks with companies in the region to provide financial security for the coming season.

In the past season of the volleyball league, the Netzhoppers were eliminated in the playoff quarter-finals against second-placed Powervolleys Düren.
